When placing your order for a Medford, you set in motion a process that typically takes 4-6 months on average to complete but can take as long as 9-12 months in some cases, depending on a multitude of factors, some of which are out of our control. We encourage you to sit back, relax and take comfort in knowing our craftsmen are busy building your knife, with the highest quality and standards in mind.
There are absolutely no refunds or cancellations of knives ordered direct from Medford Knife or MKTUSA at any point in the purchasing process. Because we do not hold inventory, each knife, from start to finish, is made just for you. This means that the day you place your order, the entire organism of our company reacts and adjusts the purchasing of raw materials, mill times and a hundred other small details. Pulling one knife out of production, massively disrupts the entire process.
We hope you take the time to research and decide on each and every aspect of your dream knife before you place your order. As stated above, once we receive your order, a process is set in motion that is extremely difficult to change or disrupt. On that note, there is a $150 Fee to make any change to any order once it has been placed.
New International customers who place an order may expect a confirmation letter asking for a photo and passport confirmation before your order will be processed. International Bank Wire Transfers may be required to expedite international orders for your own and our protection.
Customs and Duties If you are placing an order that will be shipped outside of the United States of America, please know that you and/or the recipient will be responsible to pay any and all import charges/fees/duties/taxes/etc. relating to the Customs of that Country. Medford Knife & Tool/ASK/MKT will not be responsible for any such fees or incurred shipping charges due to refusal of a product. Additionally, we will not falsify product descriptions, contents, values, etc. on any forms required to ship parcels outside of the United States of America. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Due to the nature of our business, we are unable to provide production updates for your knife. Current lead time for all knife orders is 4-6 months, however, these lead times can vary greatly depending on the knife and our production schedule, as well as various factors out of our control.
If you have not received notification of your knife being complete after 6 months, you are welcome to contact us, and we will do our best to give you an update at that time. Again, we are unable to provide any updates before then.
At Medford Knife & Tool, we believe you should use and enjoy your knives. They will perform for generations to come and investing in heirloom-quality knives & tools can be cathartic, but please remember, all good things take time and commitment. Thank you for being here and we cannot wait to get one of our incredible knives into your hands.
