Every knife starts as a "blank" cut out of raw material.

Step 1

A craftsman will grind, chamfer, and sharpen it by hand with a series of belts.

Step 2

Machinists will create handles to insanely tight tolerances.

Step 3

A craftsman will Heat Treat to spec and Straighten every blade in small, controlled batches.

Step 4

A craftsman customizes parts to create various looks and finishes.

Step 5

Every set of parts is hand-lapped, finished and fitted by a knifemaker.

Through our RMA (return merchandise) process, your knife can revisit it’s birthplace for a sharpening or repair to extend its life.

This process is similar to any high end watches, jewelry, musical instruments or other various timepieces that require care or repair over the years.

For us, there’s often a sentiment as a knife returns to the factory. It often brings up fond memories and history as we flexed our manufacturing muscle over the years.
