D-FM2

Our Deployment Series consists of a tanto and drop point. These blades provide an unmatched opportunity for young professionals to enter the American hand-made knife world. The knives in this series are still made from premium D2 steel and hand made in every way. The handle style is based off the "Field Master" design and finished with a different genre blade. This blade is a small drop point belly knife.

The D-FM2 was part of Medford's Deployment Series, introduced as an accessible fixed blade tier designed to reach a broader audience than the brand's premium production lineup. It shared its D2 blade steel and Phoenix, AZ craftsmanship with Medford's flagship models, but at a lower price point — documented at approximately 89.95 through KnifeCenter for the coyote brown paracord variant. The series included four profiles: tanto (D-FMT), drop point (D-FM2), dagger, and small waist knife. The D-FM2 was available in multiple paracord wrap colors including black, camo, and OD green, each paired with a color-matched kydex sheath. The Deployment Series has since been discontinued from Medford's active lineup, with the brand shifting focus to premium steel fixed blades. D-FM2 examples now circulate on the secondary market.
