The Medford Fixed Karambit is "nothing short of evil" — that is how Medford described it, and the blade earns the description. The karambit is a Southeast Asian design optimized for close-quarters work: the curved blade operates in the reverse grip, trapping and drawing rather than thrusting, and the finger ring at the pommel locks the knife to the hand even under maximum grip stress. Medford's version takes that foundation and runs it through the same overbuilt philosophy that defines every knife the company makes.

The blade is D2 tool steel — black oxide coated on the paracord-handle variants, black PVD on the G10 versions — with a dual edge and reverse barbs on the spine. The ring has striking nodes machined in for point strikes against hard targets. The handle was offered in two configurations across the production run: katana-style 550 paracord wrap over full tang, and black G10 scales for a more rigid grip. Both ship with a heavy-duty kydex sheath in a low-profile configuration suited for belt, vest, or boot carry. This is not a utility knife. It is a dedicated defensive blade designed for operators and instructors who train extensively in Filipino and Southeast Asian martial arts systems.

The Medford Fixed Karambit (FK-1 and variants) was produced as part of Medford Knife & Tool's fixed blade lineup targeting serious operators and instructors trained in reverse-grip fighting systems. The original FK-1 variant featured a 3.0-inch D2 blade (black oxide), 0.29-inch blade thickness, 7.0-inch OAL, and a katana-style 550 paracord wrap handle with a black kydex sheath. A subsequent G10-handle variant offered a 3.5-inch blade in black PVD D2 with a sawback spine, and a smaller G10 variant carried a 2.375-inch blade at 7.90 oz. Woodland camo paracord configurations were also produced alongside the standard black. The model was available through Atlantic Knife Company, Blade HQ, and other authorized dealers. The Fixed Karambit has since been discontinued from Medford's active catalog; the Burung folding karambit in D2 represents the current karambit offering in the lineup.
