Huntsman
Story
The Medford Huntsman is a broad, purpose-built field knife with a blade geometry optimized for skinning, processing, and utility cutting tasks. The blade is a wide drop-point profile with a deep belly arc on the cutting edge, a flat primary grind, and a forward-angled quillon at the choil that seats the index finger forward of the guard. The Medford diamond logo is struck into the ricasso. The overall blade shape is similar to the Fixed Theseus family but wider through the midsection — the increased blade height gives the Huntsman more edge-on-work contact area, and the pronounced tip drop makes it more capable on skinning passes than a flatter clip-point or tanto geometry.
Handle construction is G10 over a full tang, secured by two machine screws — available in tan/coyote, OD green, and black. The handle silhouette is a smooth curved drop from the guard to the pommel, with a subtle palm swell and no finger grooves, keeping the grip neutral for multiple hand positions during extended field use. The matching-color kydex sheath uses a simple two-grommet carry system without a modular platform block — designed for belt loop or lashing carry in the field rather than vest or MOLLE attachment.
