STA Sniper

The Medford STA Sniper is a compact, no-frills fixed blade built around a single defining feature: a forward-angled quillon that locks the index finger in place and prevents any forward hand migration under hard use. The blade geometry is a modified clip-point — steep spear-like tip, deep hollow above the quillon cutout, full flat primary grind — balanced for thrusting and slashing tasks equally. The blade slot runs parallel to the spine, reducing weight without sacrificing spine integrity. Medford produced the STA Sniper in a wide range of finishes: brushed satin, DLC/PVD black, bronze fire/heat patina, and a vivid blue anodized variant that showcases the titanium-grade surface treatment applied to the underlying D2 or CPM steel.

Handle construction is straightforward full-tang with G10 scales — black, tan/coyote, and OD green — secured by two machine screws. The butt of the tang is cut to a hex profile, matching the Medford multi-tool standard found across the NAV-T, NAV-H, and related models. The hex butt doubles as a bottle opener and driver when carried without the sheath. Sheath is a kydex platform carry with a modular MOLLE-compatible attachment block — black or OD green — that allows the knife to be repositioned across a vest or belt without retooling. The STA Sniper was sold through major dealers including Arizona Custom Knives, Blades Canada, and direct from Medford.
